Sept 5, 2025: Father Placid Pei was born in 1928 in Hebei, China. He entered Our Lady of Joy, Lantao in 1945 and remained in China. He made solemn profession in 1985 and ordained priest in 1981. Father was 97 years old, had been in monastic vows for 40 years and 44 years a priest when the Lord called him.
