History
- On 18 October 1964 a group of nuns from Wrentham came to found a new monastery, under the title Our Lady of the Mississippi, not far from the monastery of New Melleray, which accepted the paternity.
- The monastery was built onto an existing farmhouse and on 3 May 1968 the church was consecrated by the archbishop of Dubuque.
- 1979-80 Construction of dormitory, refectory, scriptorium.
- 2002: New candy factory built.
- 2009-10: Construction of senior wing and major renovation of entire monastery.
