Historia
  • 1850, 25 July: Foundation.
  • 1860, 7 October: Fire.
  • 1864, 8 September: Solemn benediction of the rebuilt church.
  • 1871, 14 September: Raised to the rank of abbey under the title O.L. of Scourmont.
  • 1897: Change of name to O.L. of St. Joseph.
  • 1923: Reversion to original name.
  • 1894: Sint Sixtus recovers its right to paternity of Scourmont.
  • 1899, 24 October: Dedication of the church. Scourmont assumes paternity of the nuns of Saint Paul aux Bois, exiled at Fourbechies (who will later establish themselves at Chimay).
  • 1940: Forced evacuation from 28 May to 2 July.
  • 1942: Forced evacuation 12 April 1942 to 1 September 1944.
  • 1950, 25 July: Centenary of foundation.
