OrígenesFounded by Achel on 16 June 1883. Raised to the status of priory in 1891 and to the status of abbey in 1912.
Historia
  • 1939: The monastery had been in charge of a college which furnished vocations but which was also the source of many difficulties. It was suppressed during World War II by the Germans and never reopened. Also during the war, the abbot was imprisoned by the Gestapo and the monastery suppressed, but the monks were able to return after liberation.
  • 1968: the college along with 25 hectares of land was sold for a psychiatric clinic.
